Job Placement Summary

​

The post holder will work as part of the team at Elgin Youth Development Group. They will be based in the training cafe, Cafe @ The Warehouse. The placement will last for 26 weeks and there may be some requirement for evening and weekend work where needed.

​

The post holder will work alongside the café team in order to assist with the catering needs of Elgin Youth Development Group within our cafe, internal & external catering requirements and within youth team sessions. They will be responsible for ordering supplies, preparing, cooking and presenting food, cleaning the kitchen area. They will work alongside other trainees and may support newer members of staff to understand how the kitchen works.

The role holder will report to our Youth Work Manager who will review their progress throughout the programme as well as offering day-to-day support. They will also be supported by other café staff and wider team throughout their placement.

Essential Skills/Experience/Qualifications

​

We are not looking for the candidate to have any essential qualifications or experience for this role. All training will be provided.

​

Number of Hours per week: 21

​

Working Pattern:

​

Hours will be Monday-Friday with occasional weekend and evening working when required. We remain flexible to accommodate any current responsibilities that the candidate may have. 

​

Hourly Rate of Pay: £12.00

​

The successful candidate will have the support of our dedicated team who will share their wealth of experience in hospitality with the post holder throughout the duration of their placement. The candidate will receive on-the-job training as well as professional training that is relevant to their role. This will include First Aid & Food Hygiene qualifications that will be provided by a third-party training provider. As an organisation, we use CPD Training Solutions & Highland Training Centre as training providers. We also use online training so that we can offer additional qualifications that are not offered within Moray.
